Gamenation eSports League Season 0 Details
Welcome to the launch of the GameNation eSports League. The aim of GeL is to bring consistent, high level competition to an online league platform. To kick the competition off, we’re running what we call Season 0.
GeL Season 0 will consist of 4 open qualifiers spread through three weeks, and one open ‘last chance’ qualifier. These qualifiers, along with a few other select teams, will feed into 4 invitational tournaments. The top teams in the invitationals will receive a birth into the invite league in the first full GeL season.
Top 4 from each open qualifier, Top 4 from first foray, 4 teams invited, and 4 ‘wild card’ teams determined by consistent placing in the main qualifiers advance to invitationals
Open Tournament 1 will take place on weekdays from November 28th through December 16th. Registration Opens on November 22nd, at 12PM EST. Open Tournaments 2, 3, and 4 will take place on a Saturday and Sunday, the weekends of December 3rd, 10th, and 17th respectively. Registration will open the preceding Saturday at 12PM EST. The last chance qualifier will take place the first two weeks of January, and will be the final chance to get qualified for one of the invitational brackets.
The invitational tournaments will take place during each weekend in January, with the top 3 from each qualifying for the season 1 invitational league.
